2009

Started in 2005, an investment program for fertilizer production development and energy consumption and pollution reduction is anticipated to be complete. The program is worth EUR145 mln. In the initial stage of the program in July 2006 was started the exploitation of isothermal nitrogen storage facility. Later that year in November new ammonia production unit with 1.500 t/day capacity was launched. In July 2008 was started a 380t/day capacity methanol unit, and in October 2008 was launched the 9th nitric acid production unit UKL-7, which increased nitric acid production capacity by 350t/day.

In June 2009 was launched a new urea production unit with project capacity of 1.000 t/day.

Ammonia production modernization project to reduce energy consumption has been temporarily suspended due to changes in economic situation.

Construction and installation of the second cogeneration power plant is in progress. The object is to be completed in 2010 Q2.

Considering the market demand and in order to reduce formaldehyde emissions in 2008 was started production of melamine urea formaldehyde resins.
