During the second half-year of 2008, income of the nitric fertilisers and chemicals producer Achema AB that is the main company of the concern Achema Group amounted to LTL 1022,8 million, i.e. 347,8 more compared to the first half-year of 2007, when the income amounted to LTL 675 million due to increased product cost in international market.

The manufacturer of nitric fertilizers and chemical products SC Achema has presented State Board another methanol production plant, a modern methanol unit M-130, which substituted the uneconomic plant of methanol production operating since 1968.

Nitric fertilisers and chemicals producer AB Achema, which is a part of the concern Achema Group, earned LTL 89 million of net unaudited profit in 2007.

Vilnius City Administrative Court has ruled in favour of the appeal by Achema AB regarding the train accident and has quashed the technical conclusion by the commission formed based on the Order of the Minister of Transport of the Republic of Lithuania. The court has ordered to perform re-examination of the accident.

The nitric fertiliser and chemical producer Achema pertaining to the concern Achema Group has received income amounting to LTL 353.9 million during the first quarter, which is 50% more than during the same period of 2006, when the company earned LTL 235 million. However, based on the unaudited data, due to the increased prices of gas and other raw materials, Achema suffered a LTL 0.5 million loss during the first quarter.

Considering the demand, Achema AB commenced the industrial production of AdBlue at the end of February of 2007. The solution produced by the company is suitable for use with the latest generation trucks complying with EURO 4 and EURO 5 emission standards.

Achema has started operations in the second ammonia plant on the 6th of November 2006. During the same month the National Commission has issued operation license for this plant.The plant has reached rated designed capacities 1.500 t/day in February 2007. Doubling ammonia capacities will allow Achema to ensure stable work of downstream units and to withdraw from ammonia import, which volumes due market turbulence were unstable.
