In the end of 2007 AB „Achema" launched „Workers' protection and healthcare management system" complying with BSI OHSAS standard requirements. This system is being integrated into already operating quality and environmental protection management systems.

The Company's authorities aim at taking care of workers' protection and health when producing nitrogen fertilizers and their compounds.

In order to improve workers' protection and health the Company's authorities are committed to:

• Install and constantly develop workers' protection and healthcare management system.
• Ensure that everything complies with workers' protection and healthcare legislation and other requirements, for which the Company is responsible.
• Ensure safe work methods and require the workers to follow these methods.
• Improve workers' protection and healthcare continually and encourage workers to work safely in order to preserve their own and others' health.
• Train all employees to work safely.
• Operate workers' protection and results of health monitoring.
• Enhance objectives and allocate necessary resources to implement this policy.
• Familiarize workers, suppliers and contractors with workers' protection and healthcare policy.
• Cooperate with institutions controlling workers' protection and healthcare.

"Workers' protection and healthcare management system" assists in controlling and managing all risky actions that may have impact on workers' protection and healthcare.

All Company employees are constantly trained and acquainted with the most important requirements for safety at work to secure worker's protection and healthcare, all the tasks are purposefully planned and the operational assets are used.
